The Steelers have a habit of playing down to the level of their opponents. I don’t take any game for granted.
For some reason, I get today’s game on TV (even before the Giant game was moved to Monday) so…yay!

Another week and another highlight reel of late shots and blows to the head of Ben Roethlisberger. This time it’s Walt Coleman who can’t reach his flag because it is crammed too far up his ass.
What a load of crap. Your offensive line sucks, that’s all there is to it.
There is truth that their O-Line needs help but when someone in the stands gives Tom Brady a hard stare, they throw a flag. Big Ben gets a two by four across the head and no one blinks.
Huh? What does our really awful offensive line have to do with late hits and blows to the head? Are you contending that the one douchebag Bengal didn’t hit Roethlisberger in the head because our offensive line is terrible?
Please explain your logic here.
Airman sends his regards from the Steelers game, and says the refs send their regards to FoieGras as well. It was noisy and I couldn’t understand what he was saying, but I think it had to do with the refs not making calls in favor of the Steelers, or something.
Hmm, are you sure? That’s so out of character.
I dunno. Airman called me during halftime with the message. I couldn’t really understand what he was talking about because of the noise.
I’m saying that I don’t agree with your assessment and despite the fact that you guys are winning the game thanks to Carson Palmer, your offensive line blows and when you don’t have a good offensive line, your QB is going to get hit. Its football. Palmer has taken his fair share of hits too.
This whole reverse-reverse conspiracy you guys are perpetuating is amusing.
“They’re targeting us! Waaah!”
“They won’t call it when it happens to us, the league doesn’t like us!”
Carson Palmer is my favorite QB to play against. That is all.
Of course Roethlisberger is going to get hit a lot because our offensive line sucks. That has nothing to do with blows to the head and late hits. Nor does it have anything to do with those blows to the head and late hits not being called. You’ve not explained the logic of your comment whatsoever.
Thanks to the Bengals for the relatively easy W, though.
How about 9 penalties against the Steelers versus 4 against the Bengals, and a holding penalty ratio of 5:1.
What position do you play?
Nitpicking end.
There really weren’t any. You’re being subjective because its your team. Going from whining about a REAL headhunter like James Harrison being finally outed by the league for his dirty play and trying to apply the same logic to normal QB hits that don’t result in a flag or suspension because there wasn’t anything there does not equate to the same thing.
There really weren’t any what? Blows to the head? They showed it several times and the commentators both expressed the opinion that it was a blow to the head.
Instances of holding committed by the Bengals that were not called? There were many, including one that was again commented on by the CBS announcers.
Not to mention the late hit right before the first field goal where the defender took FOUR full steps after the ball was thrown and made a big hit on Ben. If that had been Harrison, it would have been 15 yards and a $25K fine.
You guys are seeing things that aren’t there, sorry. Be happy with the win and move on.
Steelers fans are an interesting bunch. And you all cry more than an orphanage full of infants. “Harrison is held on every play!” “They are calling Harrison for playing traditional (dirty) Steelers football…we’re being TARGETED!! Waah…waaah!”
Now its “Hey, they are calling everyone else for this shit except when its against us…where’s the flag!”
Waaaah.
Waaaah.
You guys deserve to get beaten like a drum for the amount of fucking bitching you do about penalties. Seriously. You all cry like a newborn, even when you are winning.
You can’t have it both ways…is the NFL out to get you or are they helping you? Which is it?
Hentor’s earlier OH REALLY WHY WOULD THE REFS ENGAGE IN THIS HUGE CONSPIRACY TO FAVOR ONE TEAM HMM WHERE’S YOUR PROOF PARANOID CONSPIRACY THEORIST BOY stuff is pretty funny in retrospect now that he’s ranting about a conspiracy by the refs every week.
Find those stats yet? Didn’t think so.
Suffice to say that this year’s version of the Steelers is in no way a Superbowl team. Playoffs, yes, Superbowl…I really doubt it.
