The 9th Annual Steelers March to the Super Bowl Thread

Steelers are taking a lng term strategy here. Let McCoy complete some passes, give the front office just enough reason to justify keeping him, and get another couple of free wins next year, along with making sure there’s not another division contender.

Edit: Well scratch that theory.

Let’s play turnover ping pong.

Your serve.

OK, this is getting stupid now. TWO fumbles? Unreal. Hold the damn ball.

Haha how in the fuck do you not expect a draw there? Especially with a cowardly coach?

What a waste of a draft pick when a perennial practice squad player Ogbanaya shows more in a few easy runs than Hardesty has done his whole career.

I really hate when corners are too… proud? selfish? to move to free safety when they got older. Sheldon Brown is giving a 10 card cushion throughout the entire play - it’s absurd - but he’s still got some skills to make a good free safety. But he refuses.

Oh, shit. Ben is hurt. This is bad.

Not a fan of the guy, but damn do I hate seeing that happen.

Well, if this closes out Ben’s season the Steelers’ march to the Super Bowl just came to a grinding halt.

That was the Steelers’ worst half of football in years, even worse than the Ratbirds game in Week 1, because of what it might cost them.

That catch challenge reversal was pretty bullshit, but was it a makeup call? I was having problems with my stream when they reviewed the Colt TD, but I’m reading on other forums that he made it in untouched.

Ankle isn’t broken. He’ll be back up to raping shape in no time.

Derp. That really does get old, you know.

Thank God about the ankle, though. Still, this game is still in doubt.

What, Ben’s warming up?! Amazing if he plays.

He was six inches short. His elbow hit mere inches before he broke the plane.

It looks like Roethlisberger is working on his best Willis Reed impersonation…

It kinda does, and actually I’ve almost never brought it up. But from time to time it can be good to make sure you don’t lose track of the fact that you root for someone that gets all rapey. I was feeling bad about his injury - and I still sort of do - but he’s not too sympathetic, which is what made me think about it.

He really shouldn’t be in there. If he can’t do anything but limp, they’re going to tee off him on.

tell me the Steelers aren’t fired up because Ben is back. Man, they are running with abandon for the first time this season.

Haha Mayock just called Rubin “one of the best east-west players in the league” when in reality his lateral agility is his big weakness and teams gameplan around it. Maybe he should just stick to verbally slurping the steely mcbeam.

Ben is just amazing. How is he doing this?

What a goal line stand. Boom boom boom.

Edit: Too soon, 4th down attempt.

Make that boom boom boom boom. Quite a difference there.

Oh, “Ben,” you’re so heroic! The sight of you handing the ball off to your teammates is the most inspiring sight in the history of athletic competition.
