I’ll idly click on one now and then, and find myself scrolling down the line. I, out of curiosity, opened the comments on a trump vid, and it was like all MAGAts, each one more delusional than the last. It’s almost interesting. Every. single. comment was a love note to trump. In disgust I said: “Thank you Fred Trump for setting such a great example. I’m sure you would be pleased how he turned out.”
And today, Youtube took away that remaining option. I complained in feedback, but there’s no way this was an accident, So from now on, I’m not going to go out of my way to watch any shorts. and all of those channels I subscribed to that switched to doing mosty shorts are now useless to me.
So I did some checking around, including creating a new throwaway youtube account. The new account still shows the old subscription feed page, with all the shorts mixed in. One other friend I asked said her subscription feed changed to this new “improvement” months ago. And I’m sure youtube thinks of it as an improvement, probably sparked by people complaining that they didn’t like seeing the shorts in their subscription feed.

Machine Elf - Wasn’t sure if I even wanted to come back here, but I did, and I read your post more thoroughly. (Being on vacation helped my mental state of mind. Somewhat.) I didn’t realize it was taken from an actual online video game session and the illustrations were added later. Thanks, that makes it easier to understand. As in, online video games are frequently gigantic pools of radioactive waste and video games is a pursuit where one is allowed, if not expected, to act like a colossal sack of shit to everyone at all times, so it easier to understand why some of them would pile savage mockery on one of their own for no fucking reason.
