Go to http://fathom.org/teemingmillions/people/
Login
Click on Edit
In the “Profile Photo” line, enter the url of your pic
For example, mine is http://fathom.org/opalcat/livejournal/opalprofile.jpg
It will be displayed at 150x150, so if it is different dimensions, it will look squished. If people click on it, the picture will display properly, though.
If you don’t have a picture uploaded, you can go to http://fff.fathom.org/pages and sign up for the full featured page. You get 2mb of space and you can upload an image there.
You mean you can’t just upload a pic; you have to have it stored online already? Humm… OK 
There are two profiles btw. The fancy ones (of which there are a zillion already) and the ones that come with the new site. You are welcome to create either or both.
Yeah the software doesn’t let you upload a pic, but I do offer free space for it so quitcher snivveling 
I registered just fine, as DuckDuckGoose, got my password and everything.
Starting at the Home Page, clicking on Doper Profiles, it brings up this:
So when I put in my name and password, it gives me:
It’s still doing it this morning, and yes, I know that it’s case-sensitive.
And I can logout and log back in again using the password, and it works just fine. So it’s not that I wrote down the wrong password or something.
The profile system is totally separate from the main site. You have to register for both.
(the profile software has been in place much longer than the software that is now running the whole front end. There isn’t any way to merge those two databases.
Oh.
Maybe you oughta put a note to that effect somewhere there…
