I agree with what’s already been said. For a finale, it wasn’t a great episode. I’m happy for Scott, he genuinely seemed like a good guy, and as others have posted he deserves the total prize for putting up with her bs. Once again, team Lolo disappointed. I don’t ever remember a finale where they had to remember what place they finished a leg in. That seems like it would be pretty easy. I know they’ve done the order they’ve gone to locations and the flag challenge usually screws everyone up. Have they done the what place did you finish before?
Yeah, they’ve been doing the memory task for long enough for the teams to expect and prepare for it. I wouldn’t mind seeing them shake things up a bit. Maybe move the memory task to the next-to-last leg. For the final leg, after being joined at the hip for the whole Race, how about a task where the teams have to split up and do things apart? Instead of three postcards, there are six, each player has to get three, and they meet up afterwards. That way, the stronger player can’t make up for the other player’s bad navigation and such.
You might be surprised. I had a friend who was travelling to New York City and wanted to meet a friend about 30 miles into New Jersey. He found a cab that would take him; and the driver had a book of how much the fare would be to certain towns.
And it’s been mentioned here before that the Amazing Producers don’t want the teams driving themselves on the final leg. A million bucks is quite an incentive to speed, run red lights, etc.
Well, yeah, do them all on foot, but you could do the fountain first and then go north just as easily. The previous clue was in an underground transit station, but I don’t remember which one.
They did have a final leg a few seasons ago that started out with four teams, and one team was Philiminated about halfway through the leg.
Here is a “secret” video, where Team LoLo makes some mistakes looking for the postcards.
TAR has a lot of extra footage that they put on their youtube channel.London does have some beautiful blue eyes.
She and her sister, Chase, have a youtube channel where they recap each week. Team Fun have one as well. Neither have posted a recap of the finale though as of this morning.
Monroe Red Line, which is pretty close to the Fountain, but since you’re already there it’s easier to just hop on and go north.
It was definitely interesting watching an episode where I actually knew where everything was. I laughed when Phil talked about the speedway while showing shots of the loop.
The entire cast got together for a finale viewing and so were unavailable to shoot recaps until now. Chase and London have posted their finale recap, with TAR winner Scott:
I think we see why Scott and Brooke won this season and Team LoLo didn't. On the flight to Chicago, Scott was researching the city while LoLo was sleeping. During the footrace between downtown landmarks, Scott had planned the most efficient route between waypoints while LoLo kind of muddle through. Although it also supports my assertion that LoLo had bad luck with taxis - Scott and Brooke got a taxi to the racetrack that flew like a bat out of hell while LoLo didn't.Yep, Scott was a superfan. Checking their backpacks was veteran move. London and Brooke had to change the tire because they weren’t well-versed in Manual transmissions.
One of their earlier podcasts revealed that Logan and Sara are in a relationship. Sara was the partner of the guy (Shemar?) who thought he ruptured his testicles.
I quit watching as soon as it was clear that Brooke and Scott were going to win. I don’t believe I’ve ever done that before. It was an interesting set up for the season and for the most part I enjoyed it. But I never really took to any of the teams. Team Fun was probably the closest I got. When it came down to it, I did not want to watch a whiny, I-can’t-do-it loser like Brooke be rewarded.
