Seriously, they had a high ranking member of the proud bois in custody.
After he and his family was threatened with hanging at the instigation of Trump, Pence throws his family under the bus.
Mind you, I’m not sure how much stock I put in anything Alex Jones says.
Off-topic - interesting sordid, almost open-and-shut case with Josh Hawley, where a considerable amount of Republicans don’t want anything to do with him, yet, there is no other Republican, period, who’d garner the attention of Trump’s base in 2024.
Him, or they won’t vote.
Also, once again - I’ve invented new vernacular…
“naything” - (abstract noun) - which was a typo on “anything”. Seriously - waving your arms at someone, you can declare: “I don’t want NAY-THING to do with you! Naything!..NAY!”
(Your welcome.)
Holy shit! That’s utterly insane. Yeah, the fuckers should have been shot to bloody pieces!
Cross posting.
Nice!
Some of the TV live shots on Wednesday afternoon were from a distance, by necessity, and the most important live cameras of all — inside the House and Senate chambers — were turned off by the respective legislative bodies. So the world only saw snippets of the riot in real time.
Who turned them off and why?
Did they turn them off or just stop transmission? During a hostage situation, the police don’t like live broadcasts that might help the bad guys. In this case I suppose an insurgent held up in an office with a TV could see what was happening outside.
I remember the live feed went down when they started evacuating the chambers. As it is broadcast throughout the building, I’m figuring that they didn’t want to have the evacuating lawmakers locations up where anyone could see it.
Interesting. You and rocking chair’s response make sense. I wasn’t thinking that the cameras were turned off because it was part of a conspiracy to hide what was happening, and my thought was that the last thing you would want to do if you are under attack is turn off the video evidence.
So the article did not specify if the cameras were turned off entirely. The article said “turned off”. From what you have said, I doubt it.
/uncomfortable cough/
Yeah… about that…
I’m very fond of my state Senators, but yeesh. How embarrassing.
Are we still in 2020 using paper ballots in a brown suitcase to finalize the election of a President? Were they brought to the Capitol by the Pony Express?
The Republican Attorneys General Association helped Trump plan and execute this:
Obviously written by fascist lawyers - We are hoping patriots like you will join us to continue to fight to protect the integrity of our elections,” said the recording of the robocall obtained by The Associated Press.
But they didn’t mean a literal violent fight. Of course not. And Fascist News Network will say so.
WPIPO.
Or however that is spelled.
I just think of this and think “Oh, Republicans”: monty python the holy grail Run away - YouTube
San Diego:
I’m sorry if this has been linked before; have we talked much about the delay before reinforcement showed up?
This is something I have been worried about.
In one instance, a line of counter-protesters advanced on a smaller group of people from the Patriot March, shouting and telling them to leave. One member of the group, who was dressed in all black with their face covered, pulled out a can of chemicals and sprayed it in the Trump supporters’ faces.
This is going to be the lead story on FOX all day tomorrow and from now on. "See, it is Antifa who are the violent ones! MAGAs, with the exception of a tiny minority at the Capitol, were just using their constitutional right to protest. And in San Diego, these great Patriots were attacked by an Antifa mob. "
Damned if you do… What should the response to Fascist Trumpers demonstrating be? Just ignore them? I think that is it, you can’t have a new Civil War if you don’t engage those trying to start one. But how do you igrnore Fascists demonstrating in the streets?
