The American Coup: 11.9.2020 -

Which is why some libraries asked themselves : “Is there any reason we need to keep a record of a patron’s books that they checked out and returned?”

Answer : no.

So they modified their software to delete records of books checked out and returned.

Can’t give information to the police that you don’t have.

Look for CPAP/adjustable pillows. I bought this one a number of years ago, and it’s still going strong:

Kroger, the grocery store???

I’m okay with that, even if they’re not announced on Wednesday. Slow, methodical, and make charges that stick.

I’ll admit a certain amount of schadenfreude at the thought of some insurrectionists thinking they’ve gotten away with it until they hear a helicopter hovering overhead while black sedan pulls up in front of their house and four grim looking men get out.

All the filing cabinets I’ve seen in government offices have locking mechanisms to allow only one drawer at a time to be drawn open, to prevent the whole cabinet from becoming unbalanced and toppling forward.

Cite? Now, of course they could get a court order ask what books you checked out.

No law included requiring libraries to report you if you check out certain books. That is simpley false.

See, most people dont know anything about the Patriot Act except they dont like it.

No, they arent. Yes, a NP group got themselves added to krogers list of charities to donate to, but Kroger dropped them like a hot potato once they found out.

They were a IRS-approved nonprofit , how would Kroger know? They dont vet them other than that.

Amazon ran into the same issue.

Read down a bit, you will find out it is no longer true and why.

I’m good. I was just confirming that “@Kroger” was referring to the grocery store chain. (There are no Kroger’s near me.)

The insurance company lawyer who lost his job after his involvement in the coup attempt, is suing every member of Congress, every state Governor, and Mark Zuckerberg, because the election was illegal. I don’t know why the Senators who didn’t run for reelection are involved, but crazies gotta craze.

according to his wife, who recounted the conversation to the FBI, which did not name the relatives.

his wife, whom nobody could possibly identify with just that information… ?!

Yes, exactly.

The question is not why a retail chain would allow registered nonprofits to sign up for a charity program with minimal oversight. The question is why the IRS would approve nonprofit status for a group with such a naked partisan political agenda.

Because it wants to avoid getting buried in propaganda from the right that it is “persecuting” conservatives.

OK, so this could turn out to be a big deal. Thanks for the info.

I read some thing recently that these right wing charities are sometimes a scam and that the money goes into the pockets of the organizers. The right wing gets all mad if the irs investigates these ‘charities’ so they don’t get rooted out. The end result is millions of right wing dollars donated for right wing causes don’t get used for their intended political purpose. It’s kind of wonderful.

This dates back to tea party stuff, but the legacy lives on. I can only imagine that scammers will latch onto such an exploit with glee.

Sorry but joke is on you, as no the Poster is totally serious, this is the same extreme Left hardcore that cited the Jacobin mag in a serious straight face manner arguing apologia for Corbyn…

It’s sad and pathetic to excitedly cite Venezuelan statements in glee, sinking really to the bottom of the barrel

I am going to guess this is the start of the end of his legal career

That’s kind of an understatement, but it’s delicious.

NOW I believe that the coup has failed.

Congrats!

Yes, who would have thought that uncivil disobedience would have consequences. AMAZING!

[Kool-Aid Man]Oh Yeah![/Kool-Aid Man]

No, it’s a self-serving flip reality on it’s head claim that it’s the Democrats who have been and are being divisive, that all the rancor of politics and the unrest is the Dems’ fault for their plots against Trump. Not that the Tea Party has been feeding the flames of “My way or the highway” and Trump actually did bad things to earn the campaign against him. Still alternative reality, just recognition that they no longer have the power, now they have to play the victim.

I’m not on Facebook, but my sister is. She’s been in regular contact with a couple of my cousins who are Trumpers. Every time they post lies and bullshit and conspiracy mess, she takes the time to debunk the nonsense with sources and links. Both have now blocked her. I guess she’s too mean to them.
