There’s also the fact that if you start with the top drawer, you have to shut it before you move on to the next.
Learned the hard way, didja? Like I did?

I’m good. I was just confirming that “@Kroger” was referring to the grocery store chain. (There are no Kroger’s near me.)

I don’t know where you are, but you could be in a position to be doing business with them anyway. Here in SoCal, Kroger is affiliated with Ralph’s supermarkets and Food4Less.
You just know there will be people arguing that Biden’s inauguration was invalid because he took the oath 11 minutes early.
Legal Eagle has put out an analysis of the charges that the seditionists could face. As always, he does a really good job of explaining it in a way a non-lawyer can understand.

Both have now blocked her. I guess she’s too mean to them.
But not nearly as mean as reality is about to be to them.
The coup is officially a failure.
Now that the pressure is off and shitstain is no longer President, I can go and have that ‘I almost died’ shaking fit I’ve been looking forward to.
JohnT, I really want to thank you for this thread, and thanks to all its participants. It’s been a terrifying ride, but it was necessary. I am sure no better day-by-day account exists of what nearly happened since Election Day. The facts documented here must never be forgotten.
Seconded - thanks to @JohnT for starting the thread.
This was an important discussion. It wasn’t in any way hyperbolic but was instead prescient and, for the most part, a real time ongoing commentary on a volatile political situation.

The coup is officially a failure.
This one. I believe more might be coming.
Again, Kroger did nothing wrong.
I don’t know, have you had their store brand banana nut muffins? Just terrible.
I just ate some of their lemon Poppy seed muffins, and not bad… not great either.
Ditto. I started off as mildly concerned when I first started following this thread, which over the course of the following two months turned into grave concern and near-panic over the threat to American democracy and the peaceful transfer of power.
But then it won’t really be a coup, will it? It would just be a domestic terrorist attack, I would think.

Yes, I’m aware. My apologies for neglecting to emphasize that in what was intended to be a purely informational post.

But then it won’t really be a coup, will it? It would just be a domestic terrorist attack, I would think.
You think multiple coup attempts stop becoming coup attempts?
I think there’s a distinction. Any act of violence with political motivation is a terrorist attack.
A coup attempt is an attempt to use any illegitimate means to overthrow the government or install certain people or groups in power.
A coup need not necessarily involve violence although it usually does. Trump’s coup attempt started in November, long before the actual attack on the Capitol.

On the bright side, I’m feeling better about successfully defending my social media history to future employers now.
Still think this 1.6.21 post made during the Insurrection was my best work yet.
It’s not over yet, folks! According to the “people who have lost loved ones to QAnon” Reddit sub I follow, their Qs have now pushed the goalposts to March 4, which is when the original inauguration day was in the Constitution before it was ratified in 1933.
They’re pretty sure Trump will be inaugurated then.
That’s hilarious! I wonder what rationale they’re using to persuade themselves it will happen.
