Here’s something I’ve never understood and haven’t seen explained anywhere: why would, according to these conspiracy theorists, the government care to fake this?

The moon landing brought Americans together, culminated a series of steps taken by the government to increase our technology and science, and ultimately may be part of the reason why the Soviets spent themselves into a hole they couldn’t get out of. Plus it was really cool.

Why should we care if its fake or not? It was a great event. What’s the harm in faking that?

Cosmored, what would it take to convince you that the moon landing was real? If photographs, eyewitness testimony, and scientific data are not enough, then what exactly are you looking for in terms of ironclad proof?

I haven’t seen anything that would convince a thinking person that they really went. Lot’s of the photos have clear anomalies. Eyewitnesses can lie. Scientist can be bribed to lie.

When two groups of experts are saying opposite things, that usually means that one group has sold out or is being intimidated and is lying.

If a space mission really happened, there will be a mountain of proof that it happened and zero proof that it didn’t happen. If a space missions is faked, there will be proof that it was faked and no proof that it was real. Apollo was obviously faked because there’s no conclusive proof that it was real and there’s a mountain of proof that it was faked.

Getting there takes a lot of planning and resources, but with time and resources (and we had both) it’s not terribly difficult to go. We went there six times.
