There is something seriously wrong with Craig.
I’m starting to think it’s simply the weirdest crush evah.
The irony police should have arrested Craig when he told Kendra she didn’t know what condescending meant.
Agreed. A couple of weeks ago, the favorite was Tana, but in consecutive weeks she (1) chose to sleep instead of contributing to Kendra’s all-nighter, (2) tried to take the lead in the car brochure presentation until Kendra effectively cut her off, and (3) (last night) munched on a sandwich very effectively while Kendra and Craig did their bickering. On this last point, if the show had shown Tana intervening to cool things down between Kendra and Craig, that would’ve been a positive for her, but that didn’t happen. Craig cannot win as the last few shows have shown him in very unfavorable light. He’ll also not get past the interviews. Alex is crashing fast, but I thought his boardroom defense last night was quite strong, and he might impress in the interviews. My guess is that the show wants one BS and one SS for the final two; so they will probably be Kendra and Tana. At the end, despite her annoying head bobbing and mannerisms, Kendra will win the Big Enchilada. I think that they should just give her the job right now because of the way she exercised constraint from slugging Craig last night.
I don’t hold the sandwich thing against Tana at all, nivlac. She’s not their mommy, their teacher, their boss, or anyone else with a responsibility to make them sit down and shut up and behave themselves. She’s their competitor, so letting them tear each other apart could only result in one of them getting fired. If they land in the boardroom, she’s not going to take the heat for not stopping their childish squabbling–they’re going to take the heat for squabbling like kindergarten students in the first place. Rightly so, says I.
I think you missed my point. Yeah, there was nothing wrong with Tana staying out of the squabble. That’s certainly her right. But it did not make her look good either. I even think that the show played a funny crunch sound when she bit into her sandwich. You have to think about how the producers of the show are trying to “set up” the final victor. If they had shown Tana making an effort at calming the situation, that would’ve been a plus for her. For all we know, Tana did do that, but it was not shown. Keep in mind that all the filming for the show was done long ago and the producers can assemble it any way they like. I personally prefer Tana over Kendra, but that’s not how the script is unfolding.
I actually liked how Tana didn’t say anything during the arguing. I know it was just the editing, but the loud bite-in-the-sandwich moment was priceless.
As for Craig, he’s cra-zy. He clearly views Kendra as a child who should just shut up and listen. I don’t like Kendra all that much, but he could at least pretend to respect her. I don’t think he knows what condescending me.
Kendra needs to grow up. You know that if Craig had ignored her “stackables” idea, she would have whined about him not listening to her. When he did listen, she called it “stealing”.
Bren is not only a risk-taker, but I don’t think he’s much of a creative thinker either. It didn’t seem like he had any ideas about how to do this project. I wasn’t impressed.
If he hadn’t hung himself in the boardroom, Alex would have gone. As he should have. I didn’t see the episode where he proved to Trump that he was a “star” (I’m assuming it was the very first one), but it’s clear now that he isn’t one. At least, not in the context of the show.
The only one sitting pretty IMHO is Tana.
The rotating catch-all was better, but that isn’t saying much. A second desk to store stuff, and that’s the best they could come up with?
I don’t see an Apprentice in this bunch. Whether you loved them or hated them, ANYONE from the final four in last season would be the consensus fave to beat these chumps. Heck, three or four others fired earlier would have been much better.
A few random thoughts:
-
I LOVED the sandwich bit. Totally Tana!
-
Let me take a moment to perform a 180. Last week, I was totally on Kendra’s side. But this week, she was being an idjit. Craig, who is annoying, was getting revenge flack. What is this? Middle School? (School comparisons. **Mullinator’s doing it, Trump’s doing it, and now it is spreading!)

I liked CrazyCatLady’s Alex/Dilbert analogy. I’ve felt he was a bit blah the whole time (it was him in the first episode standing next to FirstGuyFired in the Burger King uniform that gave me that feeling), but couldn’t put it into words until CCL nailed it.

Is there any meaning to the fact that Kelly hasn’t made an appearance this season?

Craig is a great “idea man.” He has developed two products that major chains have felt was worthy of marketing. But he really should work alone.
:smack:
I’ve been trying to figure out what the hell Craig is doing in this competition to begin with. He’s a firefighter, fer cryin’ out loud. (Okay, with a couple of businesses ont he side.)
Please don’t laugh at me for being dense, but honest to og, this is the first time I’ve understood what “Craig” and “The Apprentice” have to do with each other.
It looks like Donald may actually end up with a minority as his apprentice this year. He seems really disappointed in Alex, but I wonder how well he will do in the mass interview sessions they will probably have to endure.
I think Tana will be in the final two.
Can I be another spoil sport and say, “I think they all suck.”?
At this point, I’m rooting for Kendra.
And that’s the epitome of apathy.
“Rooting for”? Que c’est que ce “rooting for”?
I couldn’t care less who wins, as long as it’s not Alex.
Well, Craig is an EMT and a firefighter, so it does kinda seem plausable in that line of work.
I’m sure he’s saved lives – but I’m guessing it’s not SOP to stop and brainstorm before proceeding with other, more urgent, tasks.
Watsonwill, this season was taped in the fall, while last season was airing and well before Kelly was hired. The only reason Firemarshall Bill Rancic showed up last season was that Season 1 was well underway (and getting good ratings) before they even put out casting calls for Season 2. Season 2 didn’t start shooting till late spring/summer, so Bill already had the job by then.
:smack: Of course.
Don’t feel bad–the same question gets asked and answered multiple times every single week in the episode thread on television without pity. Presumably, some of the forum posters are more eagle-eyed than others.
