Ugh. The Raj Ratings are less than impressed. That episode might as well have had a running scrawl across the bottom that said "Tune in next week when Trump hires Kendra. Tana had the more difficult task, an absolutely awful team, and less time to pull it together. Kendra is certainly solid, but this is pretty much like putting a ball on a batting tee for a major leaguer. They could have skipped the tasks and saved us a week and just installed Kendra as the next Apprentice. Sheesh. Season 4 had better have a much better cast of people. Give me 2 people that suck but bring drama, 2 quirks, 10 solid and capable people, and 4 potential superstars. That’ll be much better than the 8 drama queens, 8 barely competent humans, and 2 solid candidates from this time around. The clock is ticking on this show. Loudly.
Nursery School - Full of crying, childish people that could use either a potty break or a nap. These folks deserve to be watched by the crooked daycares profiled on “60 Minutes”.
Todd, Tara, Audrey, John, Angie, Stephanie, Bren, Alex, Craig - You were viewed as too sane and normal to be brought back to hamper the final 2. That’s good for you, but speaks more to the level of competition we have been forced to endure this year. At this point, I’d rather watch Trump give us a competition between anarchists and catholic cardinals. Pretty much any group of people would be more fun to watch than these contestants.
Brian - Fortune cookies for the fired - “You have a secret crush on someone you despise.”
Danny - “A thoughful man chooses quiet bliss over his own voice.”
Kristen - “Chinese knowledge can not help you. This is why we built a wall.”
Michael - “Strong work and silent mouth can equal redemption.”
Erin - “There will be a time when a smirk will be your downfall.”
Chris - “Your mis-directed ‘passion’ will ultimately lead to danger.”
Tana (SS) (High School) - I might as well put you here. Like Trump is hiring you after all we saw were issues, issues, issues. It was a good ride, but you ain’t winning. If your team sucks, dump them. It appears you only gave them minor tasks anyway. At the very least, cut Brian. He clearly brought out the worst in Kristen and pulled Chris down to his level. Lose him and I think the other 2 are at least manageable. And yes, you were dealt a bad hand, but get over it. Constantly complaining won’t fix anything and only makes you look undesireable as a boss. From what we saw, very poor showing.
Elementary School - Some growth, but in the end it’s a place rife with playground fights, name calling, and a trip to the Principal’s office.
Middle School - A group that might be growing up but still prone to wild swings based on playground fights, name calling, and puberty.
High School - Not quite a child, not quite an adult. Frankly, I still don’t know what to make of these folks.
Kendra (BS) (High School) - Yeah, she will win but this is really as high as I can go. She had really weak competition throughout this season. You could make a case that up to 10 of the people in the cast were fired before they ever entered the suite. They were that bad. But, kudos to her for pulling it off. I’m still inclined to think she is a good manager of projects that require solo effort rather than a vast project involving lots of people. It was good to see her team apparently stepped up to the plate and that she did well. The clearest indicator of her winning is that any issues she had were shown last week and cleared up before this week’s episode. Everything bad for Tana was this week. The last impression you leave is the one that sticks with people.
College - Older and wiser, things are looking up. Maybe not ready to enter the real world yet, but getting close.
Grad School - These people have a clue, have some seasoning, and have a chance to make an impact.
PhD - Ready for tweed jackets, big paydays, and…good grief these people suck. They have sapped my will to care.
Carolyn boxing is comedy gold.
The Rancic/Perdew corollary update. I think last week someone asked what this was the corollary of. Completely forgot to answer. The initial theory is that editing shows all. This corollary specifies that, while a candidate can survive some level of goofy editing or really poor effort, for the most part that is limited to only a couple of occasions. Any more than 3 or 4 times (or fewer depending on the level of screw-up) and that person has no chance to win no matter what else is being shown.
