The Barometer in My Head

The weather has been rather beautiful here lately. It’s like an actual spring in the morning and evening with hints of summer around midday. But we haven’t had rain and we need rain because we are having lots of brush fires in the state. A cold front came through, they didn’t think it would rain much and it didn’t, but it was cloudy and icky and drizzly out yesterday and my sinuses responded to the change in the weather with the usual stuffiness and pressure and today it’s beautiful outside again but my sinuses are draining like someone turned on a faucet. Better out than in, I guess.

Any change in the weather and I feel it in my head for days. Anyone else have body parts that react to weather changes? Does your rheumatism act up when it rains? A trick knee that hurts when it snows? Sudden headaches during hail storms?

I broke my right big toe during my freshman year of college, and the campus health center just taped it to the next toe over. It sometimes hurts when the barometric pressure is changing.

Only when I am outside without a hardhat.

I’ve broken one big toe twice. Last week when it turned suddenly cool and it rained for three days straight that particular toe was achin’ something fierce. Once the weather cleared, so did the pain.
