MAKE AS MANY SELECTIONS AS YOU LIKE
As before, I’ve limited this to songs written by one of the Beatles.
“Rain” is my favorite on the list.
“When I was younger
so much younger than today
I never needed anybody’s help in any way.”
“Blackbird” is just lovely.
I could only think of one Beatles one-word song. “Honey-Pie.”
Do you still sleep in the park?
I have very mixed feelings about Girl (and did not select it). The first verse is wonderful, but the lyric starts to lose its way after that, and the middle eight is just excruciatingly awful.
How come you include non-canonical songs like Cayenne and Junk, and leave out Revolution?! (The version on the B-side of Hey Jude has the one word title.)
Holy shit, I can’t believe I forgot Revolution! Ironically, that’s what would have received my vote.
The entire poll is a sham.
Because this song ain’t there
I didn’t vo-o-o-o-o-o-ote
