I think the quality of movie trailers are interesting. Their purpose is to raise an interest for the movie they are presenting, but it is sometimes for to a disadvantage for the film in question. I recently saw the trailer for Danny Boyle’s Sunshine, but it only showcased action-filled parts, thusly undermining the psychological point of the movie.
So, what are the best trailers you know of? I am especially interested in trailers that are both entertaining and good in themselves while being true to the spirit of the movies they represent.
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
I liked the one for Monsters Inc when Harry Potter (2? 3?) was out.
It was something along the lines of “Showing in a theater near you…very near you…like right next door…”
My personal favorite is “Toy Story Requiem”.
I can’t wait for this movie to come out.
Another good one is the PG trailer for “300”.
