It was a Catholic movie by a Catholic. It played around with things and had fun, but stayed true to its roots. The director even thought it was strange that there were Catholics who objected to it.
I also think that at least the first Narnia film counts. You can’t get away with calling the message non-Christian, and they actually increased the Christian stuff (“It is finished,” for example.)
A film I won’t count is Noah. They deviated too far from the source material, changed the message. A lot of Christians felt tricked.
The Passion of the Christ of course counts, but I will just relate my brief story with it. We bought the DVD. We still haven’t opened it. It’s not a film you want to watch more than once.
