I think that was probably just the estrogen talking.
After only three months of dating, she’s now engaged and therefore officially off the market.
I fully expected a ‘Bazinga!’ out of Sheldon when he told Penny that it hurt his feelings when he opened up to her and she dismissed it. It seems they are trying to make Sheldon more human lately. I don’t know if I think that’s a good or bad thing.
I was half expecting something to have started to develop between Sheldon and Penny in Leonard’s absence. Then again, I’ve been expecting something between the two of them for a long time - that would be an interesting story arc…
I do feel like the show may be past its prime - I wasn’t really impressed with either episode. Maybe because I was tired…
At least Sheldon has reverted to his regular haircut rather than that…mess he wore last season.

I’ll bet some writer dreamed up that scene out of thin air, and then they wrote the entire episode around it.

Sheldon is going to ask Penny to teach him the coital arts, so he can satisfy Amy.
She’ll need some convincing, but then she gives in and they work through the Kama Sutra together.
Sheldon decides he’s ready for Amy, but Penny isn’t sure, so she comes along too.
Amy is down with that, so quickly the three of them get nekkid and stay that way for days.
Amy and Penny get married, invite Sheldon to live with them Three’s Company style.
Nice theory, but what about Bernadette?

They’ve never really decided exactly how weird/nerdy/hot Bernadette is. She’s clearly always been played up as weird, but Penny had no idea how weird she was when she first set her up on the date with Howard. Even the “Bernadette used to date Rick Fox” episode seemed to simultaneously try to make her too weird for normal humans but too normal for Howard at the same time.
I guess it makes sense though since I don’t think the writers had any idea she’d someday be a regular after her first appearance.
My favorite line was the one from Amy after Bernadette referring to her boyfriend as “kinda Sheldon”:
“And your husband is extremely Howard, so what’s your point?”
I liked both episodes, particularly Amy and Bernadette having some interaction away from Penny, so they can talk science together and get all the male attention.
I wonder if they’ll ever do an episode about Penny’s drinking too much. Seems like she has a glass in her hand in almost every scene, like they might be directing the story arc towards that end.
I missed a few episodes last season, but I take it Penny *finally *got a cheesy scifi movie roll given the clip Leonard was showing everyone?
No, she got that before she ever met the guys and deeply regrets doing a topless scene. She thought it was never released. This was Penny’s secret to Sheldon in this episode.
Leonard (I think) found it on the internet shortly after meeting her for the first time.
Howard found it, as I alluded to in Post #4.
No, in the first episode, when Penny and Sheldon were sharing ‘a moment’, Penny said she did a topless scene in a movie that never was released. And Sheldon said he saw that scene, which Howard found on the internet. Found right after he met Penny.
And that was scene that Drunk Leonard was showing to all his North Sea friends.
