So Raj can now talk to women without drinking? They said it happened suddenly, while Leonard was away, so I guess that means in the hiatus.
I missed it if there was an explanation, so can someone fill me in?

It happened at the very end of the very last episode of last season, after he was so traumatised by his girlfriend (Kate Micucci) leaving him.
And after the trauma he wouldn’t shut up!
I thought they were kind of addressing that already - when Penny and Sheldon were playing chess, Penny said something about not having alcohol for it, and I think one other time they mentioned her not drinking or something like that. I missed the first few minutes of the first episode, so I assumed they addressed it then, that Penny was trying to give up booze for a while.
Given the wine she was sharing with Leonard, I don’t think so. My take was that they were in Sheldon’s apartment and had finished off what was available there.
Yeah, on re-watching, I see she’s having a beer while hanging out with Sheldon, too. Okay, scrap that theory!
