I agree with this and while I never thought she would get convicted of murder, I really thought she would be found guilty of manslaughter. However, upon contemplation, what evidence DID they have? A stupid party girl that lies about everything and a dead kid with no cause of death. “I think she did it” simply isn’t good enough in our justice system and that was proven yesterday.

The prosecution’s biggest problem, and her best defense, was that she couldn’t be tried on a charge of “Maybe Casey didn’t actually murder Caylee, but she’s definitely guilty of something, and deserves to go to jail for it.”
The jury would have been back in 10 minutes with a guilty verdict.
There are significant differences. For one thing, Scott Peterson had previously made statements to various women that he was a widower and would be spending the Christmas holidays alone for the first time. He subscribed to a cable porn channel two days after his wife Laci disappeared, indicating that he didn’t expect her back. Laci’s body was found a long way from their home in an area where Scott Peterson was known to go fishing, and Scott had been spotted in that same area around the time of Laci’s disappearance despite the fact that it was far too cold at that time of year to be fishing. And in the American system of justice flight is considered evidence of guilt, and at the time he was arrested Scott had altered his appearance, was carrying a large amount of cash, camping gear, etc., and was thought to be headed to Mexico.
This is exactly why she was acquitted.
Actually, the meter reader called it in 3 times in Aug. 11, 12, 13, a deputy sheriff went out and investigated but for whatever reason found nothing and did not report it. When the meter reader called it in again on Dec. 11, the remains were found.

1.** The lazy cops**, certainly, the 2 cops who came out to the site of the body in August. The body was only 19 feet from the road, and 12 of those feet were wide open grassy, meaning, that the cops only had to walk** 7 feet** in to check it out. OTOH, if Roy Kronk could see something that looked enough like a skull from 7 feet away to call the cops, why could the cops not see anything that was just **7 feet away? ???

2. Roy Kronk. Roy Kronk had control of the body for 4 months, and Roy Kronk admitted to disturbing the body, disturbing the crime scene. Roy Kronk knew what he had in August, enough so that he called the cops 3 times. Even “if” the cop yelled at Roy for calling the cops, so what?? why didnt Roy then call up Nancy Grace or call the local news and collect his $250,000.00 reward? Why did Roy wait until December to collect his $250,000.00 reward. Why did Roy move the body/skull/plastic bag with his meter reading stick? Why is Roy Kronk the only person in the world who knew of the most famous missing person in the world but refused to call the media about it? What did Roy Kronk do with the body between August and December. Roy Kronk’s son who is in the United States Coast Guard testified that his father Roy was in control of the body during the intervening time period. Had Roy contacted news media, the Anthony family, the Sheriff, the State Police, the FBI, Nancy Grace, TV2, the local disc jockey, the EquiSearch Organization, the DA, the prosecutors, Juan Baez, the crowd around the Anthony house, or anybody else back in August then there would be enough evidence to figure it out.
3. George Anthony. The alternate juror has now said the big factor was that George Anthony lied, George was evasive on the witness stand, George was combative in his answers, George did not want to answer the questions, and that he believed that George knew a lot more of what happened and the jury could not trust George.
OK, but if “you” were Roy, would you wait another 4 months to call this in (possibly allowing somebody else in the meantime to find the body and take away your reward) ? Or, would you immediately back on August 13 call the local news and have them come and check it out to hand you a check for $250,000.00 reward? I don’t buy Roy’s story. Even Roy’s son says Roy is lying.
How is it different? Because Scott was guilty. Scott actually did it.

…but that is THEIR fault! It was the government itself who would not go pick up the body back on August 11 when lots of evidence would be available.
It is very misleading to say that it was not the government’s fault because the government was too lazy to get the evidence when it was fresh.

All the same thing. It is the “States” case against Miss Anthony.
The “State” is the DA, the prosecutors, the police, the police videos, the police wiretaps, the search warrants, all the state employees, the FBI assistance, etc.

No cop would ever cheat me out of a $250,000.00 reward by telling me that he cant see 7 feet away what I can plainly see. If I dont like this cop, then I will call the State Police, or TV2.
I understand about how the police work with the DA’s office, although I’d wager I’ve not seen quite as many episodes of Law and Order as you have.
“Collusion” is a funny word. You think this is some sort of “government” conspiracy? Just out of curiosity, does that include other parts of the government as well? Personally, I don’t trust those bastards at the Post Office for a second.
AFAIK, the $250k reward was for information leading to the return of a living Caylee. IIRC, Kronk got $5k for finding her remains.
