"The Bob Newhart Show" Trivia Game

I would also have accepted “moo-goo-goo-goo”

It must be the Duck talking.

Thinking about it, this might be a MTM question, not BNS.

Dayum. I miss good TV. I loved Carol and all Bob’s patients. Great show. Can’t think of any of the answers, though.

I loved this show as a kid–and now I want to watch it! Anyone know when it is on TVland (as I assume it is?). I don’t get TV Guide or a paper.

Anyone play the “Bob” drinking game in college? Heh. Good times.

And the classic TV moment was when Bob woke up next to Emily and the Vermont stuff was all a dream…loved that, too.

I think Howard cried each time he tried to sing “Oklahoma”.(?)

Sorry, nope. Emily snag Oklahoma every time she cried. But Howard couldn’t join in.

And sorry again, BNS doesn’t air at any time. At least not with the channels I get.

So did I, when I was 14. With the burning passion of 1000 suns. Many years later, I saw Marcia Wallace on like The $24,000 Pyramid or something. She’d about doubled in size and basically looked like a super-size drag queen. I wanted to bawl.

Extraordinarily poor taste in sweaters.

And an interesting telephone manner. But that’s not what I was looking for.

Oh boy, another one of the few ones I know! Bob was wearing a Zorro costume and he drew a big “Z” on the wall afterwards.

“It’s all a crock!”

Yes. And it’s one of the very, very few times I’ve ever seen Bob Newhart do physical comedy. He has just talked his patient out of jumping, and the patient goes through the window back into the building. Bob walks along the ledge to the window while the crowd below cheers (sound effects, all we see is the ledge); then he puts his hands on his hips, sticks out his chest and strikes a pose, then turns, writes a ‘Z’ on the dirty window and goes inside. It was brilliant.

Jerry: Did you hear that? Bob just said “moo-goo-goo-goo.”

Howard: Maybe he’s ordering Chinese baby food.
What was Bob’s mother always trying to get him to eat?

1st guess: His vegetables
2nd guess: His spinach

How many times did he have to chew, and why? Include the poem.

I already asked: Bob Hartley and Dick Louden shared something. What was it?

Here’s a hint: “The 'Topes Win a Game! The 'Topes Win a Game!”

a love of baseball? But Bob would have been a Cubs or WSox fan, whereas Dick most certainly would have been a RSox fan

What did Jerry say on The Art Linkletter Show?

Nope.

The darndest things.

Now that’s funny

I probably didn’t answer the question right. IIRC Jerry was talking about when he was a kid and was on the Art Linkletter Show…

“…And I said poo poo. I did say the darndest things!”

Except I don’t know if “poo poo” was what he said.
