The British Open--who'll take it?

Tiger Woods is two strokes back of the leaders after the 2nd round of action.

My prediction? It’s over. He’ll either gain or tie for the lead tomorrow, then crush anybody still near him on Sunday. Agree? Disagree?

FWIW-- I’m not necessarily a huge Tiger fan (my guy is Mark O’Meara, who is also two back), but I think it would be neat to see him (or anyone) sweep the majors in the same calendar year.

I’m going out on a limb here to say “Tiger.”

** Wartime** Glad to see I’m not the only O’Meara fan out here in the big wide world. I wishe he were the 4th rounder Tiger is, but, alas. It would be nice to see him finish on the leader board.

I havn’t watched the first few rounds, but after the commitment I put into the U.S. Open for such a dissapointing last few rounds, I’m hesitant to do it again. (Rain, MLB woulda called that game) But rest assured I will watch at least one round. Play of this caliber is a pleasure to watch. The Majors bring together the finest Duffers, and are always a good show.

It’ll probly be Tiger. I hope it is a decent round for everyone as I just can’t sttand watching the guy get an 8 shot lead, then watch all the rest of the players struggle for second place. Alot of uninspired play happens from the rest of the field. But one can’t help but cross the fingers for his Slam.

My wish is the course to give all those players, especialy Tiger the round of a lifetime. Make 'em sweat for it!

I say Duffy Waldorf.

Because he is the least likely of the co-leaders.

I think Murayama is going to pull the traditional “Asian golfer” fold up in the last two rounds.

That’s being unfair as Aoki didn’t really fold when he lost the US Open to Nicklaus. Nicklaus just played very well.

But I see a TC Chen-like performance in the offing for Murayama.

Els should have a chance, but won’t win. And I don’t think Tway is going to hold on.
