About.
Just getting wider distribution. My wife and I saw it last night. Theater pretty empty. Well it is big time commitment. I haven’t seen a movie with an intermission since 1981’s Reds. Filmed in VistaVision.
Long but not boring and no where does it feel like it drags or under edited. If anything complete novels of subtext are communicated in brief and even background asides. It is packing a lot into its time, leaving us to fill in much.
I’m definitely going to be processing what I saw for some time. It works at multiple levels of understanding, including some meta commentary levels, and if anyone here sees it I’d love to hear what they think.
Definitely a movie worth discussion.
