The Cabin at the End of the World (book)/Knock at the Cabin (film)

Okay, so I am deep into Paul Tremblay’s 2018 novel The Cabin at the End of the World, which I started just a few days ago. It’s one of those books that makes me apprehensive about what’s on the next page, but I have to know, so I keep turning those pages even though I know it’s going to disturb me.

I knew nothing about it until I saw the trailers for M. Night Shyamalan’s adaptation of it, Knock at the Cabin, which comes out on Feb. 3. Want trailers? Here you go:

Since something happened in the book that I REALLY was hoping would not happen, I wonder now if it will be in the film too. (Think Pan’s Labyrinth.)

Anyway…Have any of you read the book? Have any interest in the movie?

Haven’t read the book, but I ran across the trailer a couple of days ago. I won’t be seeing it - I’m one of those people that was disappointed by M Night one time too many several movies ago.

Ahh, but what if his twist this time is that it’s a good movie?

It could happen. So far, it seems very similar to the book, or similar enough that it should be compelling to watch.
