Does US milk taste different?

When I was living in Colorado (mid to late 80s) I really missed ketchup chips. Dad used to bring a couple of bags back home with him whenever he was back in Canada for business.
When we moved back to Canada I was dismayed to discover I could not get Lay’s Jalapeno and Cheddar chips. There have been similar flavours by other brands but none with the proper mild heat and background cheddar flavour I fell in love with.
A little (yes, I drink a lot of milk, so it seems different to me.) They don’t have the same milk brands in the US. Plus, apparently there’s some concerns over hormones in US milk, which isn’t allowed in Canadian milk, or so I heard (I don’t know a whole lot about these things.)
And the Redblacks make it to the Grey Cup.

Fans are making snow angels on the field!
Yeah, blech. What an introduction to winter.

Friday was 65degrees F, a spectacularly sunny autumn day. We had weeks of Indian summer here, kept thinking it will probably turn next week, but no, it just kept delivering!
Last night very cold Arctic air swept in bringing high winds, 5cm snow, and wild flurries, etc!
Such a contrast!
Calgary is ahead, 32 zip at half-time!
That RedBlacks game got a lot more exciting than I really wanted it to…
I’ve bought it a couple of times in stores here in Ottawa.
A dumping of 25-30cm over about 36 hours made for a very sloppy start to the work week! After a brief break it’s back to snowing, but only 1cm expected to accumulate overnight so the shoveling job should be fine for tomorrow morning. I was hoping winter would ease its way in a bit more slowly, but no such luck. Maybe some of it will melt away?
I’ve found it fairly regularly at Bulk Barn of all places. The ones near here have a half shelf of UK products.
Red Rose has been available in the US for quite some time. Both my mother and grandmother had it in their cupboards for decades.
I have discovered Canadian maple butter. Yum! Nothing like it down here that I’ve ever seen.
Not the same. Red Rose in the USA is a black tea, and in Canada it is a completely different orange pekoe.
Suffield is REALLY isolated. Two and a half days there was…long.
I’d never heard of the place before, to be honest.
Interesting - apparently CFB Suffield manages to combine live-firing exercises with being a wildlife refuge. :dubious:
You too can participate in their elk herd reduction program, but you have to bring your own gun.
Live fire doesn’t mean they are shooting at live animals.
