The Carrie Diaries

This is the “prequel” series to Sex & The City. I’m not in the target demographic, but having Freema Agyeman (Martha, Dr. Who) in it is interesting. AnnaSophia Robb is pretty darn cute too.

I think I’m the same age as Carrie. This is when I was in high school. But this show is very boring. Throw in hit after '80s hit and make everyone dress like they were in a music video.

Absolute dud of a plot. Nothing imaginative or engaging about the characters. I like Subugatory much better and that has no nostalgia factor for me.

I remember when Sex and the City started, there was something ground-breaking about it—frankness about women’s sexuality, a wicked sense of humour, and a willingness to show how vile, shallow, and repulsive our protagonists could be.

This has none of that. It’s a completely unadventurous teen drama.

Grumpy old man checking in

Every time I see this promo on the TV, I keep thinking to myself: “Come on! Do we really need a Sex in The City for teenagers?”

I had no idea it was an actual prequil to SITC.

I’d be alot more interested in the concept if this show was on HBO instead of network TV.

Not interested. I know what Carrie looked like in high school…
