Just a little one. First one I’ve seen, though he had two or three a week before he and the SO moved up. He apparently had a mild one last Autumn. Today he was lying on my feet, and the sun was full in his face. SO says the seizures seem to be caused by flashing, such as when sun is shining through moving leaves. But there was no movement today. Just sun in his face.
SO covered his face with her body, and kept him from falling over. He’s fine now, and curled in the crook of my knees.
He’s fine. As I said, he’s had a couple of seizures since he’s been here, and they’ve been mild. The place must agree with him. Right now he’s looking for the squirrels.
I have a cat who had seizures that were frequent enough and severe enough for meds. She takes phenobarbital twice a day and has been without seizures for a month. Yay.
He was on phenobarbital when he was having frequent seizures. He’s been off of them for about a year now.
I tell you, it was freaky. His head was bobbing around and I thought he saw something outside. But he was moving his head rapidly, and not in a manner that would indicate a squirrel or bird. Fortunately SO knew what was going on. It passed in about ten seconds.
