The Celebrity Death Pool 2003

Hello…Kitty

I see it’s just the two of us at lucky 13.

It looks kinda doubtful that we are gonna win this thing.
So how about a little side-bet?

Technically speaking, couldn’t WE ALL be banned for participating in this thread? (ie: pit sticky, death wishes=banned members)
heh, “the death wishers”…cool banned name

Well, no one scored in the game in October…so the scoreboard still stands.

FYI…I will open the 2004 game on December 1st.

Two months to go!

Righteous Brother Bobby Hatfield has passed.

But nobody picked him.

Hmm…now that I have more reliable Net access I think I might start playing in '04. God knows we’ll all need to be cheered up from the election (no matter what side you’re on!).

I take it nobody picked http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2003/baseball/mlb/11/05/stenson.death.ap/?cnn=yes Dernell Stenson, the Reds outfielder? Yikes.

Dammit, I can’t code, sorry. A question: obviously, throughout the course of the year each person we pick loses a point for us as they have a birthday (assuming they make it). So do you calculate from their age in years as of 1/1/04, or what they (might) be on 12/31/04 when seeing how many points you’ll get for them?

I go with their age at death.

Milosarian joins the list of scorers with the passing of Art Carney, 85.

:frowning:

Congratulations to Milossarian with 15 points!

Art Carney has died.

Oops! Sorry about that.

not as much as Norton is.

Penny Singleton
Five points.

Yeah, but nobody picked her.

Heading into the homestretch, as of Dec. 1st the scoreboard is exactly the same as it was Oct. 1st with the addition of Milossarian with 15 points.

Mighty Cisco is still in the lead with 115 points, with

Protesilaus in second place with 105 points, and

Interrobang!? right behind with 103 points.

Stay tuned for the Celebrity Death Pool 2004, coming soon to a message board near you…

Which, BTW, is here.

Congratulations to our winner, Cisco! Good job!

I am having difficulty getting this computer to open this thread in two windows, and I forgot to bring my 2003 master list home over break, so I will post the full list of award winners on Monday the 5th.

a35362 I’m asking you here 'cause the other thread is already getting a little screwy. I assume you did carry my list over to the current 2004 pool adding M. Jackson to fill vacancy. A simple wink if you did would suffice.

Thanks
