Well, Our Zawahiri may have wriggled off the hook for the time being but Ahmed Yassin found the business end of an Israeli warhead.
Chalk up another 33 points for the Captain!
Hamas leader Ahmed Yassin has been killed in an airstrike. Congratulations to Captain Lance Murdoch, who leaps way ahead with a total of 75 points! Woo-hoo!
(Anybody else think that guy looked like Saruman?)
Jan Berry of Jan and Dean fame has died.

Peter Ustinov, April 16, 1921 - March 29, 2004
It would appear, pending confirmation, that earthpuppy, Mudshark, Nightsky, Saitou and smam all have received 18 points.
Seemingly it is true, I have perused 3 reputable sites now all confirming his death . Apparently he was killed by Col. Mustard, with the lead piping in the library
I forget if we are supposed to offer up another pick to fill the gaping void a celebrity death leaves behind. I think we are so my subby will be Ronnie Barker I am afraid. I love his sit-coms but let’s face it, he is pretty old now.
Nope.
With the passing of actor Peter Ustinov we welcome to the scoreboard:
earthpuppy
Mudshark
Nightsky
Saitou and
smam - tied for fourth place with 18 points each!
Congratulations!
(Nobody picked Jan Berry.)
woohoo!!!
While I’m glad (?) to have made the scoreboard, Nightsky is now Lathe of Heaven.
Man, Peter Ustinov? That sucks. I love(d) his voice.
With the death of broadcaster Alistair Cooke (and darned if I can’t think of his name without hearing Cookie Monster’s voice saying, “Alistair…COOKIE!”), we welcome Mr. Babbington to the scoreboard with 5 points.
Hey, it’s more than the rest of us have! Congratulations, Mr. B.!
Peter Ustinov and Alistair Cooke within two days? All the best voices, dying!
Who’s next? Paul Harvey? The announcer for SNL? (I do know his name, I just can’t remember).
Maybe if we voluntarily sacrifice Rush Limbaugh, we can keep James Earl Jones.
And if not, well, we still got rid of Limbaugh.
[Don Pardo]
Don Pardo-o-o-o!
[DP]
Don Pardo, who’s also been the off-screen voice of many game shows. He turned 86 on February 22.
Okay, Art James was not of the caliber of Peter Ustinov or Alistair Cooke. However, Art James was a game show fixture of the 1960’s and 1970’s being both announcer and host of TV game shows such as “Concentration” and “Say When”.

He easily ranks up there with Don Pardo who thankfully is till alive and well.
Sorry - nobody picked Art James.
Okay, as of April 1st (no foolin’), our scoreboard reads as follows:
In the lead with 75 points is our own fearless Captain Lance Murdoch.
Tied for second place with 41 points each are
Angel Heart
Caricci
Mullinator and
zoog
Tied for third place with 21 points each are
cadolphin and
Rico
Then we got:
earthpuppy
Lathe of Heaven
Mudshark
Saitou and
smam - with 18 points each
Sternvogel - with 16 points
NoGoodNamesLeft and
Santos L Halper - with 15 points each
Single Serving Friend and
Uvula Donor - with 6 points each
Mr. Babbington - with 5 points
and finally, all the rest of us tied for 9th place with 0 points each! Yay for us.
I liked it better when we were tied for fourth with zero points each.
Yeah, at least then I felt like I was in the running.
