Looks like:
Diogenes the Cynic
Mikie
and
SpazCat get 48 points each.
We’ll wait for the official word, however - from a35362.

What is this, the SpazCat Deathlist trifecta? I guess I need to be scouring my list to see who’s next. Hmmm…who is worthy of such a sacrifice?
The Pope must be praying for some major Devine Intervention, because there is no other way he has been able to outlive Rodney Dangerfield, Janet Leigh, and Christopher Reeve
And he’s on SpazCat’s list…
I doubt anyone had him, but Ken Caminiti has passed away at the ripe old age of 41. Shows what steroids and cocaine can do for a person.
Additionally, Jacques Derrida did the ultimate “deconstruction” this weekend.
It’s time to gather the cardinals! Bwa-ha-ha-ha!
Oh, God, I just heard. I am so depressed.
With the death of Christopher Reeve, while Captain Lance Murdoch is still in the lead with 95 points, the following three players jump up with an added 48 points:
Diogenes the Cynic and
Mikie are now tied for second place with 75 points each
and
SpazCat is in third place with 73 points.
No one picked either Ken Caminiti or Jacques Derrida.
Why? Are you planning something? Because you won’t get points if you kill The Pope.
[sub]And you will, you know, probably go to jail, too.[/sub]
pierre salinger anybody?
Nope, nobody picked Pierre Salinger.
While I’d love to visit Vatican City and/or Rome again, I seem to be lacking funds and time for such a trip at the present time.
Not to worry, 'coz John Paul II likes to travel about quite a bit. He may yet cruise into your hometown in his PopeMobile before he meets his heavenly maker.
That is, if he can manage to take a break from all the beatifications he’s been decreeing.
I pick 13 people from the game of baseball to kick the bucket this year and I completely omit Ken Caminiti and Ray Boone. This was clearly not my year.
Ray Boone was the senior member of the first baseball family to send three generations to the All-Star Game. Ray made it to the midsummer classic in 1954 and ‘56 as the Detroit Tigers’ third baseman. Son Bob followed his dad to “the show”, as did Ray’s grandsons Bret and Aaron. Here is the obituary from the Kansas City Star, which requires a free subscription to the paper’s site.
Give me 15 points – Betty Hill, who with her late husband Barney claimed to have been abducted by a UFO in 1961, has died at the age of 85 after battling lung cancer.
And he’ll get there faster in his new PopeMobile IOL Motoring | Get Up to Speed on SA Motoring News
With the death of Betty Hill, Sternvogel moves into sixth place with 55 points and three unique dead celebrities. Congratulations, Sternvogel!
Nobody picked Ray Boone.
No one (I hope) picked him, but notorious Indian criminal Veerappan was killed today by Indian police.
On the extremely unlikely chance that anyone picked her, let it be known that British journalist and author Lynda Lee-Potter has died, according to her newspaper, the Daily Mail.
