Because I had nothing better to do I went through all the lists so far and made a tally of which celebrity had been picked by the most people, and how many names had been chosen over all.

Pope John Paul II heads the list of course. He has almost twice as many picks as his nearest competitor. When compiling my list I counted for him those poster who wrote “the pope” without giving a name. 398 different names have been chosen, 264 of which are single picks, so far of course.
