I just want to point out that we are now five months into this year’s death pool and I am still a pure, unspoiled, spotless, gleaming virgin. DAMMIT!
To which I reply, I am still waiting for my 2004 list to bear fruit. Wanna trade? :dubious:
Two years from now, when I’m still a virgin, we can talk about making some swaps.
Jim Trimble, the football coach who led the Philadelphia Eagles from 1952 to ‘55 and later served as the New York Giants’ director of player personnel, has died at the age of 87. In between his NFL stints, he guided the Canadian Football League’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats to the 1957 Grey Cup championship.
[Apropos of nothing]
Head coach of an NFL team at 33 years old. That’s pretty impressive. A little googling seems to indicate that Don Shula officially holds the record at 33, so I guess Trimble was just a few months off of a useless record.

This one sounds like fun, but I think you have to base it on when they actually break up. Rags like the National Inquirier claim couples are breaking up every week.
Former NFL’s player Craig Heyward “Ironhead” Passed away…
When was the most recent update? I know I don’t even register in the standings, but I’m curious.
Noted tennis player Ted Schroeder, at age 84.
Paul Gleason , best known for playing the principal in The Breakfast Club, has died at 67.
Steve Howe of baseball has died, strangely enough, not of drug abuse, but when his pick up truck rolled over.
He is from the town south of me.
You’re about a month late with that one.
That is so sad.
I already had him on my 2007 list. Why did he not hang on?
Hardly any changes in the last month, so I won’t repost the entire scoreboard.
Electronic Chaos scores a Quantity Not Quality Award for Stanley Kunitz, who was 100 years old at death.
Welcoming 42fish to our nasty little game with a unique pick of A.M. Rosenthal, worth 16 points. Congratulations!

Montgomery, Patrick Ntsoelengoe, Floyd Patterson, Dan Ross, Ted Schroeder, Soraya, Bill Strode, Frankie Thomas, Jim Trimble, or Johnnie Wilder, Jr.
Vince Welnick has joined the rest of the full-time Grateful Dead keyboard players in that great jam in the sky.
Film special effects pioneer Arthur Widmer has died at age 92
Hey, I found out as I was putting down the newspaper in my garden to act as mulch.
Noted oilman Perry Bass is dead at 91.
Steve Mizerak, a billiards star who won four U.S. Open crowns among dozens of tournament victories, died last week at the age of 61. Mizerak became known to non-followers of pool when he starred in one of the many Miller Lite commercials which featured former pro athletes during the 1970’s and '80’s.
Perhaps you should start reading the newspapers before you put them in the mulch pile.
