The guy who invented Cap’n Crunch died. He was a nutritionist. Go figure.

3.97% of our celebrities have died, representing 5.3% of the nominations.
From zero to top 20 with one death. Woo-hoo!.. I mean, rest in peace.
Ditto, Tony Snow came through for me.
I haven’t been participating, but come by every once in a while to see how it’s going, and as I expected, I see Rachm Qoch out in front again. With the year slightly over half over, and slightly over half of those named by him/her are gone. Yowza. If I were one of the remaining 6 people on Rachm Qoch’s list, I would be very nervous indeed.
Alexander Solzhenitsyn has died at age 89.
A unique pick for vraskin.
Assuming guests who posted to the SDMB a grand total of one time are really in the running.
Skip Caray, who was one of the voices of the Atlanta Braves before, during, and after that baseball club’s heyday as “America’s Team”, has died at the age of 68. Skip was the son of legendary baseball broadcaster Harry Caray, as well as the father of sportscasters Chip and Josh. Although he never denied his position in the “family dynasty”, Skip never attempted to imitate his convivial father, but instead sought to carve out his own identity as “the wise-ass cynic”.
Lou Teicher, of Ferrante and Teicher.
And I maintain sole possession of next-to-last place.
Next time I submit a list consisting entirely of nonagenerians, I’m gonna mail 'em all a set of actuarial tables. Sheesh.
I would like to state that I had him a few years ago, but gave up.

Looks like five people have him.
And four of them will break their duck, to use a cricket term.
we’re all ghouls and we’re all going to hell
at least we’ll be able to keep each other company
