Ike Pappas, who was reporting on the scene for New York radio station WNEW when Jack Ruby killed Lee Harvey Oswald in 1963, has passed away at the age of 75. In 1964, Pappas joined CBS as a news writer for radio. Eventually, he served as a correspondent for the network, and covered such stories as the Six Day War in Israel (1967) and the Kent State shootings (1970).
