The Celebrity Death Pool 2008

If I could add a few more comments about Leroy Sievers…

In addition to the innumerable awards he won he should also be remembered as the creator of “The Fallen” on ABC news in which Ted Kopple read the names of all America’s dead from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It’s kind of hard to believe now, but that was actually quite controversial at the time.

Siever’s cancer blog was, to me, far more informative and inspirational than anything Randy Pausch said.

His last entry was about a day before his death

Actor Julius Carry, perhaps best known for playing Lord Bowler on The Adventures of Brisco County and Sho’nuff in The Last Dragon, has died of pancreatic cancer at 56. Such a bummer; I loved him on Brisco. That was one of his most prominent roles, and it’s strange that the linked variety obit doesn’t mention the show at all.

Doggone. I also remember him on Doctor Doctor with Matt Frewer, and he was great on that too.
