According to post #451, 69 people had Ted Kennedy. There has to be something Freudian about that.
W00t!
To my credit, it was a good 11 hours between the time I heard and the time I bothered to check on Kennedy.
I’m a slow vulture.
ME ME ME!!
I mean, I extend my sincerest condolences to the family.
So now I have two dead on my list. Better than most years–usually I’m the Kiss of Life.
I had Teddy, also Farrah and Michael. This year twelve of my choices were the top twelve “vote getters” in the Pool. Teddy was #3 in popularity, surpassed only by Patrick Swayze and Fidel Castro.
111 points and three off my list is the best I’ve ever done.
P.S. My thirteent choice was Fred Phelps. When that SOB finally bites it I want to get something out of his demise.
We’re tied, Baker. This is the best I’ve ever done, too!
Mine was popped by Eunice, but I had Ted as well.
As, apparently did many of his constituents.

Dominick Dunne will publish in Vanity Fair no longer.
WTH!
My 2010 list is croaking off. F’in hell.
wait - what? is she one of the cousins? JFK, RFK, Ted, & Ethel being first gen. What about Caroline?
Nope, she’s their sister - remember the Kennedy’s were VERY good Catholics
I think he may calling Joe Kennedy Sr as Gen 1 since he was the patriarch of the Kennedy clan, so Joe Jr, John, Bobby, Teddy, Eunice, Rosemary, Kathleen, Patricia, Jean and Ethel are 2nd gen; Jean is the last one living now.
My best year ever. I count it as 4-1/2 of from my list of 10 have croaked. Bettie Page went belly up in the last few days in December. :smack: But her death still had value. My number one alternate, Michael Jackson, moved onto the list. Thank you, Betts.
Is anyone close to having a clean sweep? All thirteen nominees becoming big winners? This would be the year for it.
I think you mean Eunice Kennedy Shriver. Ethel was Ethel Skakel Kennedy, Bobby’s widow.
Then there must be dozens of 3rd Gen Kennedys, right?
Off the top of my head, Ethel and Bobby had 11 kids, John and Jackie had two, Ted and his first wife had 3, and Eunice and Sargent had 3. Not so sure on Patricia and Jean.
Most of them are now parents themselves, so there’s probably an even larger flock of 4th generation kids. I’m pretty sure Caroline Kennedy and Maria Shriver each have 4. I don’t know about any of the others.
Actually, John and Jackie had three, although Patrick Bouvier Kennedy only lived for a couple of days. My sister was born in 1961 with hyaline membrane disease (the same condition Patrick had), but she survived and just celebrated her 48th birthday last week.
Sublight has 8 so far, which is the same as Rachm Qoch had the whole of 2008.
This is only my second year running this game, but there are far more “scorers” already this year than last - thanks to Kennedy and Jackson. I don’t have access to my spreadsheet right now, but I think that 142 out of 181 players have now scored.
The top three players all had Kennedy, so no change there. Sublight is still one ahead of me.
