The Celebrity Death Pool 2010

Some of us didn’t know who she was. Or cared, frankly.

No, it went against my strategy. You can see how well that’s working out.

I loved Poltergeist. I’m sorry to hear Zelda’s gone into the light.

Carl Kassel, on the other hand continues to sleep in on weekdays and judge Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me on Saturdays.

That it – as the first one to post a list containing Zelda, I demand three bonus points (actually, that could make for an interesting [if massively complicated] ruleset).

Okay. But I also deducted three for lying, because you weren’t the first - Little Nemo was.

Well done, Sir, well done!

I didn’t even mention her at all - surely that is worth something?

I knew you weren’t going to mention anything. THAT’S got to be worth a couple of points.

YAY!

Howard Zinn, author, dead at 87.

<grumble grumble>…damn misspellings throwing off my search…<grumble>…

This saddens me. I love his books.

Shoots you evil looks for even wishing him dead. I haz da wub for Kassel.

:((

If he is buried, will he get a Zinn Bin ?

It saddens me too, as he wasn’t on my list and earned me no points. I am always saddened by pointless death.

I don’t wish him dead, it just seemed that leaving NPR’s morning program after 100 years, he must be ill. A possible opportunity, as it were.

What does it mean, “I haz da wub”?

Amarone, does anyone else have him?

It’s LOLspeak. Where you been?

Oh, cruising the aether, buildng model airplanes, sitting around in my underwear smoking cigars.
So, what does it mean?
After some research, it appears that he or she is enamored of Mr. Kassel.

I refuse to jump on bandwagons. Which explains my large number of points every year.

Louis Auchincloss, whose depictions of upper-class New Yorkers earned him the title “America’s foremost novelist of manners”, has died at the age of 92.

Charles McCurdy Mathias, who served Maryland in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1961 to '69 and in the Senate from '69-'87, passed away at 87. The Republican was known for bucking his party on civil rights, gun control, and other issues
