The Celebrity Death Pool 2011

Yeah. Perhaps I am at an age now where I can understand WTF as it happens, but OMFG did Sheen really say these things? I mean there was no exaggeration there, it’s not like it was a piece from The Onion… right ?

Looks like Two and A Half might be on a death pool list of another type.

And if so, does this move Sheldon and Leonerd into a new time slot? I’m all for this if Big Bang gets even more exposure.

OK, Steve Jobs just walked out on stage at the iPad2 event. Ye gods, where does he keep his Lazarus Pit?

Terry Clements, whose lead guitar parts enhanced Gordon Lightfoot’s recordings and live performances for the last four decades, has died at the age of 63. Clements is perhaps best known for his ability to suggest the wind and waves of a Lake Erie storm during The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Aw, man…

But on alighter note.

A quiet month with only two celebs shuffling off.

11 celebs have died, representing 1.4% of the total and 1.1% of the votes.

Wooooo, I’m in the mosh pit with the other zeros.

Do what I did.
When you build the Time Machine, come back in time and give the plans to yourself.
Works every time!
Uh, wait a minute…

**You mean I’m in the Top 20?!
**

WOOT.

Let’s hear it for Lord Alfred Twentyson.

Zsa Zsa Gabor taken to hospital by ambulance

Again.

Yeah, but a point less now. Too bad it can’t be pointless.

I’m glad she lived to see another birthday. I just wonder if she’ll be without both legs soon.

(I’m number 18. Woot!)

Frank Buckles died Feb. 27; he was on my list.

ALL RIGHT!!!

I’m tied for 19th place!

Was 110, right? So he is going to be in for the tie breaker thing, and not points, right? Quantity not Quality ?

Yes, quantity-not-quality credit, but no points.

Sorry - I never even checked, thinking nobody would have chosen anyone that old! And you blew up my spreadsheet - the column for “youngest” didn’t handle ages over 100.

Anyway, you rise into sole possession of 19th place, pushing all the 2011 DPVs into 20th place.

Just being in your company, I feel as if I’ve scored.

Oh man, that didn’t come out right at all… :smack:

There’s an app for that.

I was thrilled when I saw that article - the first good news all year! Seems like the papers have been full of nothing but remissions, recoveries and denials that anything major was wrong in the first place. Finally! A relapse!

Then I spent some time pondering Hell. Do you suppose they run a death pool there too?

Faint praise indeed, since the Edmund Fitzgerald sank not on the relatively shallow and quiescent Lake Erie, but further north on the great lake they call Gitche Gumee: Lake Superior.
