The Celebrity Death Pool 2012

Thomas Kinkade, the [del]urinator[/del] painter of light dies suddenly.

Thomas Kinkade, “Painter of Light”, dies at 54.

All those beautiful, beautiful points…

OMFG. There is going to be snark singularity.

One of my daughter’s friends just bought a signed print of the painting he’s holding in that photo – $2,000 – for a print! From a (then) still living artist!

She is sooo lucky he died. Please let me know if she buys any other art from still living people.

The article says that 1 in 20 Americans have his art hanging in their homes. Did they all pay that much???

That look EXACTLY THE SAME as the next one.

Suddenly I’m wondering how Steve Martin’s health is these days. And why I didn’t think of banjo trifecta for my list this year.

Well, Kinkade would have been worth a lot of points, but nobdy had him.

Well, he just performed on the ACM Awards with Rascal Flatts. Doesn’t look too bad to me.

Maybe Bela Fleckis feeling ill…

A true tragedy, indeed.

His art, or that nobody picked him?

ETA: Philip Glass, for the two-fer…

too slow

Well, I meant that nobody picked him, but I know that a lot of people consider his art a tragedy as well.

I was not familiar with this mans work.

WOW

just

WOW

This thread is in impeccable taste by comparison.

I had him in my list for 3 years. 3 years! Nothing. I forgot to enter this year and he finally goes.
