Only if it comes with an automatic title change. TPTB should change the title under the name to “Golden Casket” for anyone who pulls it off.
I was thinking of that too. Heck, if everyone on my list died, I’d pay cash money to change my title. And I’d probably buy lunch for someone, too. (Note: I count as someone. :D)
There are many men of this name, including several politicians. Based on your “lesser-known but generally aged world leader” theme, however, I assume you mean the guy who was Prime Minister of Canada for a few months in 1984. Is this correct?
Yup thats him
Well, I had two people croak this year. For 2013 I’ll mostly go for the survivors, but with a few tweaks.

'Nuff said. Sorry about that.
You need a clean list, with no numbers or comments.
Zeke, just to enlarge on the comments, our Death Mistress finds it easier to maintain the spreadsheet if you have no numbers or anything (easier for copying and pasting) . I fell foul of the rule but can see its value.
:smack:Wow, my first double post AND I screwed up my 1st deathpool list at the same time. Sometimes I amaze me:smack:

Please post a clean unnumbered list as per the OP
[QUOTE=the OP and the Rules]
List Format:
There is a spreadsheet that allows me to post updated standings quickly and produce various other statistics. The pain is “loading” the data into the sheet. I can do each list in a single cut and paste if you use the following format and guidelines: present a plain, unnumbered list that contains just the celebrities’ most commonly used names (e.g. use “Al Gore”, not “Albert Gore”), correctly spelled. If anyone is known by initials, include a period and a space after each. And please observe, what I, Baker, refer to as the “Pope” rule, a variation on “the most commonly used name” rule. If a person is known primarily by a titled name, use that. So it wouldn’t be Joseph Ratzinger, it would be Pope Benedict XVI. And don’t put down Elizabeth Windsor, put down Queen Elizabeth II. For all I know there are other celebrities with the plain names. If you do pick Joe or Lizzy, under their lesser known names, I might not notice it, to give you those points if and when they shuffle off this mortal coil.
An example of a plain list follows here:
O. J. Simpson
Ronnie Biggs
Fidel Castro
George W. Bush
Muhammad Ali
Lindsay Lohan
Fred Phelps
Abe Vigoda
Kirk Douglas
Clint Eastwood
Ariel Sharon
Dick Cheney
Bill Gates

2012 started out so good, but none of my picks have dropped dead in many months.
I have the winning entry for 2013 ready but won’t post until December 31. Good luck people.
For those left on my 2012 list, just die already
