I totally remember that guy.
I only have one or two ping pong balls lying around, but I will drop them in his honor!

Cowboy Jack Clement, a Nashville Music Legend, Dies at Age 82
I have no problem findig them after they die - it’s the before part. Still on ZERO.
Dang. The last time we had a celebrity die that counted for points in the game was the fourth of July, over a month ago. All these other names are just teasers.
And, I have a question for those who know about bureaucracy. If a person dies at home, or in a hospital, no foul play, is it possible to keep a death “secret”? I mean, it’s reported and all, but not published.
Actress Karen Black, age 74.
So the voodoo doll really did get her!
:(actually
Bolding mine. I meant “reported to gov’t authorities” not the public at large.
Depends on how famous they were, its possible that the family may not want it widely known.
RIP Karen Black
She was on my list for next year. Dang!
In posts #1607 and #1610 I asked about keeping a death “quiet”.
So I have another question. Are death records public records? Can an interested person find out if someone elses death has been certified by a coroner?
The reason I’m interested is because rumors of a certain person being dead are floating around here in my city. I’m not going to march down to an office to find out, because while I may be the DeathMistress I’m not that bad. But this person IS the choice of several people in this game. If this person is dead and we don’t find it out until, say, next year, I’m going to be annoyed.
Gorbachev?
Huh, another one I thought died years ago.
Nope. His records, wouldn’t be in our county coroner’s office anyway.
Why the secrecy? If you name the person, the combined nosiness of the players should make short work of proving or disproving the rumor.
OK, it’s Fred Phelps. I live in Topeka, and the death of this person is something I didn’t think one could keep under wraps. But I’ve “been hearing stuff” and just a little while ago my mother called. In the course of our chat she mentioned an acquaintance that said she’d heard he’d died.
But it’s all third hand at best. And how it could not be leaked, it it were true, I’d have no idea.
Well that’s mighty interesting. Google “Fred Phelps dead rumors” and some people are saying September last year is the rumored date. How would that affect last year’s scoreboard?
Should we introduce a rule in 2014 making the scoreboard final a certain number of days after the end of the game?
