::shakes fist at the remaining people on my list:: Die, you bastards, die!
It could be worse. anyrose could be setting out to take them out personally.
Nah, that is against the rules, so she wouldn’t get any points.
Proof, we would have to have proof. I mean, people have be known to, as it were, get away with, you know …
“But your honor, she was worth 74 points!”
Maybe a couple of Dopers could make a “Strangers on a Train” type of deal, where Doper A takes out the people on my… er, Doper B’s list, and Doper B does the same for Doper A.
Great.
Now I’ve got coffee coming out my nose…
Former U of Washington football coach Don James http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/eye-on-college-football/24112588/washington-announces-death-of-longtime-coach
was on my list as a possible for 2014, but probably wouldn’t have used him (too old)
They would both be disqualified.
Per my Twitter feed:
Bud Adams has died.
They were together for 7 years
Man, people (or, at least, celebs on Dopers’ Deathpool lists) just aren’t kicking the bucket the way they were during the first half of the year.
Through July 4, 121 players had scored a collective 7,681 points, if I got everything into Excel without screwing up. Since then, with the same caveat, only 11 players have scored at all, for 475 points between them. And (without going back through the thread to check) those points must’ve come from only five or six deaths.
For the past few months, it seems, the best way for a celeb to stay alive is to be on any Doper’s list.
I would expect more deaths in the first half of the year than the last, because many players are now choosing celebs who are sick. Very sick people die sooner than later.
Gypie Mayo not feeling good anymore. Dead at 62
NY Sportscaster Bill Mazer dies at 8 points.
Sure, you’d expect some tailing off as the year goes along, but this was more like falling off a cliff. 41 points a day through July 4, and 4 points a day since then.
Would not the fact that half the celebrities are one year older in the second half the year account for some of the dropoff?:D;):smack:
Bill Sharman (Celtics player, Laker coach) Dead at 13 points.
