Least you have points. All my picks just point and laugh at me as they do cartwheels and sommersaults whilst tauntin’ me with their sudden upward turn to good health.
When I replace one, s/he drops down dead.
Perhaps we should trade picks every year.
Sounds like a sure fire way to ensure celebrity immortality!
Most of mine will carry over and then I’ll add sick celebrities I’ve heard about this year that manage to make it into the new year.
I am thinking of a themed list for this year, with most of the picks averaging over 70 years old. Or, I could keep my current list, updating it for the two that have passed, and use the theme names on this other board.
Of course, if I give up one of my current lists, I’m condemning to death the people that are set aside.
Yep. I have 10 names on the list already, plus all of my survivors from this year… which so far is everyone. Problem is going to be deciding who to leave off.
Send me a list, Dear Friend.

If you go to the Bloomberg website they have a sidebar connecting you to other stories with the title “News You May Like”. I was looking for information on another story and came across this juxtaposition:
News You May Like
Sally Dawson, Deutsche Bank Debt Saleswoman, Dies at 39
And my first thought was “Wow, she must have been a real bitch.”
Pakistani Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud is dead according to a Breaking News Tweet.
… and all the mourners commence to blubbering uncontrollably.
And don’t forget that they were whaling mournfully.
I think I can find one somewhere…Oh look, I have this one right here from last December that is almost pristine!
I doubt anyone had him but Charlie Trotter at age 54 - Chicago Tribune: Chicago news, sports, weather, entertainment - Chicago Tribune
This seems like an unusually dry 2nd half of the year.
To quote myself from a couple of pages back:
That was on October 23. I don’t believe there have been any deaths for points since then.
Through July 4 of last year, 121 players had scored a collective 9,219 points. We scored an additional 586 points through Oct. 31.
