The Chocolate War

If The Chocolate War offends you, try reading Huckleberry Finn or Uncle Toms Cabin.

Just because a book has characters that express racism or homophobia does not mean that the book itself is intended to express a pro-racist or pro-homophobic message, not does it mean that the book is poorly written.

fauxpas, if you want to ban this book in your home… fine.

If you want to ban this book within your church… fine.

But please do not assume that I share your blinkered views.

I’m sorry, fauxpas, but your logic train is the logic that tried and failed miserably.

You read the book, saw the author talk about homosexuality(and from the way people have explained it, it wasn’t homophobic or "a sign of a perverted, old mind), then thought it would be funny/interesting/needing to be shared if you posted an opinion that would offend/annoy gays and straights alike, purposely trying to also annoy one member, and then tell us it was all you being sarcastic and trying to annoy friedo.

Usually, you use sarcasm to denounce a opinion by stating that opinion with hyperbole. A example, someone saying that your a geek because you do programming languages. Then using sarcasm properly, you’d say something a long the likes of “Oh yes, all people who program are geeks. I surrender to your insurmountable logic.”.

I see nothng of that sort in your op. I’d suggest that you brush up on your english speaking/typing skills(You did say english is your second language? This is my friendly advice), so you don’t come across as a stupid person(I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt).

thank you aslan, i accept that with a sign of friendship. Oh woops…whats this here?

…What?
