Finnian, having had enough affection for the moment, strolled across the room, and without provocation, stood on his hind legs and smacked Kurt square between the eyes, once with each paw. Mission accomplished, he climbed onto a shelf, and fell asleep. I’m pretty sure I heard Bob laughing. I know I did.

Yeah, I think Bob’s trying to tell you something :). This just made me choke on my soda.

I can’t wait to hear about Finnian’s welcome home party and see some pics.

What a wonderful thread, jay-c. I’ve been sitting here crying over the loss of your Bob. He was lucky to find such happiness in your household, and you were lucky to get that beautiful cat to live with you.

Your story about Finnian is also touching, and fills me with hope. I’m glad people like you are around.

jay-c, may I post your story with Bob on a thread in a Rescue-a-Cat forum I frequent? It’ll mean a lot to them. Many of the volunteers live with “unadoptable” cats. Maybe it’ll encourage some others to look closer at such cats.
