Definitely chump. But, I’m biased against Chrysler products. I have, and alwyas will, hate their crappy cars. On a fad note: remember when everybody had to have a Pontiac Fiero? Honda CRX? This PT thing will pass as well. On a sad note, the Fiero was (and is) poised to revolutionize the kit car market like the real VW Bug did. I’ve seen pics of Fieros mutated into Ferraris and Lambos.
I like the looks. It is too bad that Chrysler makes them. And a 4 cylinder (great for your teenage daughter to run out of oil)? Chrysler is playing the masses for chumps again.
It needs to be built by Honda and powered by LS1. Which just happens to be a quality and power dream of mine. It’s too bad you can’t get both unless you can afford a NSX.
Um, one of my friends is getting a hearse and painting it all weird. I am so wanting to ride in that thing. But that’s gonna have to wait until the middle of next year. arrgh.
I think they’re cool looking. I’m not on the verge of buying one, but I saw a silver one the other day that looked really sharp. Haven’t driven one or even peeked my head inside, but I’ll have to say champ just based on the hype they’ve generated and the length of the waiting list to buy one. Looks to me like Chrysler is going to accomplish their goal of selling a whole load of them, and I can’t recall a car generating anywhere near the level of excitement from the masses that the Cruiser has. At the same time, I think they’ll be largely a fad. My own prediction is that anyone who buys one now will be really disappointed with what it’s worth in two or three years, and how damn many of them will be around. They stand out now, and I’m guessing that’s a big part of why people buy them, but they’re not going to get noticed so much when they outnumber the maroon minivans of the late 80’s/early 90’s.
