The Cleveland Browns march to 0-16 thread

Well, it’s better than Sexually Active Nubile Coed Residential Building, but not by much.

Well, I didn’t see this coming. Brady Quinn: 8/9, 151 yards, three scores.

In the first quarter.

I don’t get it. What are these plays that score 6 points and why are they followed by a field goal worth only one point?

Who was it that predicted a 56-3 victory for the Lions?

I think it’s a scoreboard malfunction.

Now the Lions are doing it too. Must be a scoreboard malfunction.

There’s a malfunction, alright. But it ain’t the scoreboard. :o

Hey, I thought the Arena league was shut down.

If Mangini keeps his job, I’m blaming Brady Quinn.

Blame the Lions defense.

Damn, the Browns and the Lions defenses–the cure for what ails you.

Wow.

The post that started the thread. Never truer, never truer.

slow gold clap for Matt Stafford
Big balls, there. Big balls. Couldn’t see it, because it was blacked out, but I did hear it on the radio.

I thought I saw him point at his left shoulder and mouth “It’s broken” after the TD pass.

I thought he was saying “it’s dislocated”. It was his non-throwing shoulder anyway.

One of the Saints DBs dislocated his shoulder in the first half of the Saints-Bucs game and needed to have it reset on the field.

We get the worst of all worlds today. We lost, so we’re gonna get possibly stuck with the #1 overall pick and there’s not even a meaningless win celebration, but we looked like there was life in the team so it’s going to refuel the “QUINN IS THE GREATEST QB EVER, JUST GIVE HIM A CHANCE AND BY CHANCE I MEAN EXTEND HIS CONTRACT FOR 10 YEARS 100 MILLION” fanboy base and make it seem like Mangini may be turning things around or something when it was really just a fluke decent performance against another crappy team.

Quinn’s under contract for another year at least, isn’t he? You can give him a chance but not give him the contract just yet.

Yeah, I don’t think the team would actually do that. I’m just saying anytime I decide to talk Browns I’ll be swamped by people who’ve convinced themselves that Quinn is the greatest thing ever and are resistant to evidence to the contrary.

Well, FWIW, I thought it was really weird that people were already saying “the Browns need to draft another quarterback” this season. I don’t much care for Quinn, but I think 8 starts might have been a bit early to write him off.
