Roads were a mess this morning and we had thunder snow last night so they closed the office.
Mr ems has also had a snow day but I did some work from the house where as he is still in his Jammie’s! Slug!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. Actually caffienated and all purtified even! 'Tis 61 Amurrkin and cloudy/rainyish out with a predicted high of around 75 for the day. Where we’re headed, the high for the day will be 57 with rain. Loverly. OOOOOOH!!! JDD and Partner called to say they’re up and gettin ’ ready and SWEAR they’ll be here by six o’clock. So my prediction stands that we leave by seven-thirty. 
Serves you right for doin’ all those cartwheels over your dp points.

So much for sleeping in… My bladder woke me twice overnight, and then the dog got up. **FCD **either didn’t hear her or was ignoring her, so I took her out at 4, hoping she’d pee then go back to sleep. HAH! She whined and yipped till I let her out at 5. She’s been fed and she’s tormenting Taz. I’ve done the dishes, cleaned the cat box, brushed my teeth, and now I’m caffeinating. I was really counting on a good night’s sleep, silly me.
Plans for today are pretty much: stay awake. I may do something silly like dust or try to bring order to my yarn stash. I hadn’t made any plans beyond sleeping in, and we see how that went.

swampy, I’m watching you! If I hear of any untoward activities, I will be over there to school you in how to act while on vacation! You put ice in that cooler with those beerverages first thing, Mister! Right now, before you do anything else!
It’s raining today and I’m still sore. I also forgot to turn the heater under the window back on last night so my plants were chilly this morning.

Was planning to be terribly healthy today, and go swimming (something I can rarely do due to dodgy skin). Got to the pool, only to find the fire alarm was going off, and everyone was stood outside being wet and very chilly. You’d think if there was one place you wouldn’t be too worried about fires, it’d be the pool, right?
Maybe I’ll try a different pool, maybe I shall just sit at home and be warm… last week’s ‘spring’ was definitely a false alarm. Brr.
Up, caffeinated, off to irk. Double shift today.

Well, I’m at work on my birthday and my insides are still torn up from the antibiotic the Dentist gave me.
Got a fishie clinging to life, or at least recovering from a near-death experience. I’ve been able to get him to at least go from leaning to one side and drifting backwards to sitting upright on the bottom.
I think my wallet just had a near-death experience as well. Went to the health insurance website to confirm what they’d paid to someone so I could pay the rest, and there’s a pending claim for nearly $7,000. :eek: I know how slow hospital billing departments are, so I’m pretty sure there will be much, much more to come.
At least we’re early enough in the year to assess other health issues and get them handled once we fly past the out of pocket maximum.
