The cold that won't quit

Our daughter is beginning her first winter in daycare, and we can’t tell our asses from our elbows. My husband and daughter both came down with a cold a week and a half ago. About five days into it they both had an evening with a low-grade fever, and renewal of snot production. Yesterday our daughter spiked a fever and really didn’t feel good; she didn’t feel too hot today but Tylenol kept her going. Now my husband has gone to bed at 8:00, saying he’s getting chills.

I haven’t had any congestion or fevers, thank og, but I’ve been exhausted. I guess I’m working hard to fight off all their germs.

Anyway, if the munchkin still has a fever tomorrow I’ll take her to the walk-in clinic. She pulled at her ear a little today, and it’s time somebody listened to her lungs and stuff.

Sigh. Thanks for reading.

Flu A has hit our neighborhood hard; I hope your babygirl has congestion that goes away quickly and you all stave it off completely. Rest well, take a zicam-like product as directed and eat lots of protein. And go nuts w/ the Lysol, every doorknob in the house and those on the car.

In sounds like it’s progressed to a nasal or bronchial infection. I think a trip to the MD in order.

That’s what I was thinking when I posted this thread. The next morning, though, neither one had a fever, and the baby is feeling a LOT better. Her nose isn’t even running all that much.

My husband, on the other hand, thinks he’s at death’s door and is even contemplating staying home for Thanksgiving. Of course, he just spent the weekend sanding drywall joints and applying oil-based primer, and frankly I’d feel at death’s door too.
