The Coming Jobs War by Jim Clifton: Your Take?

Anyone care to share a point-of-view on Jim Clifton’s book “The Coming Jobs War”? Clifton is the big cheese over at the Gallup organization, and he maintains that the world needs 1.8 billion new jobs an then everything will be puppies and sunshine. He calls a decent job more important than family, religion, idealism, or anything. (Don’t get me wrong, I like my current gig just fine!)
So is Clifton’s book basically stating the obvious, or is there more than meets the eye here? Any takers?
