i’ve always wondered in a web site like this if i get a reaction from someone or someone gets a reaction from me that would let him or her know that they or I am an expert in a certain area and we would need at least twenty back and forth questions and answers and it would be too hard to do it online can we verbally talk to the person to provide tones, inflections, and pure speed of verbal conversing(possibly through exchanging phone numbers as long as we agree to the terms of long distance calling or maybe is there a function that i don’t know that allows users to chat audibly. I’m sorry about the run ons I am just obsessed with communication through the most natural form and that is speaking. don’t get me wrong i love this website to death, just sometimes a verbal conversation can be helpful. if i could have an audible conversation that could be recorded in a file so that anyone who’s interested could clock on it and listen to it and scroll through parts that are too long making it easy to “view” a conversation that would be great.

Maybe I’m tired, but I really didn’t get the OP.
A lot of the chat services have the “talk” feature now. Newsgroups or message boards were more intended for “post then read replies sometime in the future”. I know sometimes this MB seems more like a chat room, but it’s still a MB. Meaning, if someone takes a week to reply to you, that’s OK.
I don’t think the message board software has anything like that built in. But if you and another user wanted to, the two of you could always talk through two-way voice chat using software like Skype or any IM client that supports voice (a lot of them do these days).
Your other idea, recording a speech, is certainly possible. Just record it into a MP3 file and upload it somewhere or send it via email to the person.
