Once in the 17th century, in the religiously pure but morally complex town of Boston, there was a crisis. The town was an attempt to create a religious haven for Puritans, where everyone was Pure. For sometime, this worked. But then, the invasions started…on the one side, there was Hester Prynne. An adulterer, she flaunted her punishment, and refused to stay in check, even now plotting to dePureify the village. And on the other was a dark man, Roger Chillingworth. With a heart tainted black from the wilds of inner america, he has allied himself with atheists and satanists in an attempt to kill off the village of the pure.
You must beat them back, with prayer, the law, and, if necessary, the noose.
There are two anti-town groups, the Sinners and the Blackhearts. The blackhearts are like a regular scum groups, but the sinners want everyone infected with the Seed of Sin, whether the target wants it or not.
If a previously townie player is infected with the Seed of Sin, he has a choice to make: either he can change his win condition to align with that of the Sinners, or he can Pray, which, in two nights, will remove the seed of sin from him.
Also, on lynching. There are two ways to lynch: Ostricization and Execution. If the town ostracizes a player, there’s a chance that that person might ignore the order and do something that night, but it is the morally appropriate way of clensing the town. Execution ensures that the target won’t come back, but as killing is always sinful, the last player to vote for the execution is infected with the seed of sin.
Votes are in bold and blue, like so: Execute pedescribe
Unvotes are in bold and red: Unostracize Mahaloth
Mod questions are in bold and green: Are we allowed to quote our role PMs?
You may quote any PMs from the mod under 2 conditions:
I will not vouch for it
No timestamps
Do NOT PM each other about the game.
Nights are 2 days long, Days are 5 days long. They may get shorter as the player list shrinks.
I will not be keeping track of post totals. If you think a player needs to be subbed out, notify me like so: Replace pedescribe with Sachertorte
If 1/4 of the players have done that in the same way, I will do so (provided the replacement is willing).
All players may strategize at all times in-thread. The same goes for any offboard communication.
The player with the most votes will be lynched. In the event of a tie, the player with the highest number of execute votes will be lynched. If those are tied too, then the player with the highest number of votes that’s not in the tie will be lynched. If there is no such player…well, we’ll see.
Once the player for lynch is determined, the majority wins with regards to E/O.
This is perfect, I didn’t make it for Ulla’s signup as I was still in Kid’s game and being my first, I didn’t want to have to juggle two at the same time. My plan was to watch Ulla’s from behind (and on the off boards if I was allowed) so I could see how the other side thinks.
